Serving Our Parents: A Noble Duty
Taking your parents to Umrah is a wonderful gift. But walking and traveling can be very tiring for them. Small choices can make a huge difference in how they feel.
1. Go Straight to the Hotel
Buses are cheap, but they drop you far away. For an older person, walking an extra 20 minutes in the heat is exhausting. Private cars drop you right at the hotel door. This saves their energy for the Kaaba.
2. Cars That Keep Them Comfortable
Getting in and out of a car can be hard on stiff knees. We can help:
- Wheelchairs fit easily: Our big cars (GMCs) have plenty of room for a folded wheelchair.
- Easy Entry: Our vans have wide sliding doors, making it simple to step inside.
- Step Stools: If the car is high, we have a small step to help them climb up.
3. Specialized Equipment Rental
Did you know you can rent specialized equipment in Makkah?
- Electric Mobility Scooters: Available for rent inside the Haram extensions. They allow independent movement for Tawaf and Sa'i.
- Medical Beds: Some hotels offer medical-grade mattresses if requested in advance.
4. Medical Prep Pack
Be prepared for common senior ailments:
- Anti-Chafing Cream: Essential for the long walks in Ihram.
- Electrolytes: Seniors dehydrate fast. Keep sachets in your bag.
- Medication List: Carry a translated list of their medications in English/Arabic in case of emergency.
They took care of you when you were small. Now, let's give them the VIP care they deserve.
